Sen Senra - New Me

Oct 2025

Sen Senra has quickly become one of the most intriguing figures in the Spanish music landscape. Blending R&B, soul, and experimental pop with a uniquely introspective touch, Senra stands out for his ability to craft soundscapes that feel both intimate and forward-thinking. His meticulous attention to texture, tone, and atmosphere has made him a key figure in the new wave of Spanish artists redefining what contemporary pop can sound like.

With “New Me,” Senra takes his sonic exploration to a new level. The track captures a sense of reinvention—not just thematically, but in the way it’s built from the ground up. From the lush layering of synths to the understated groove that anchors the rhythm section, “New Me” showcases an artist fully in control of his production choices. Every element feels intentional, serving the dual purpose of emotional storytelling and sonic experimentation.

Delving into the production of “New Me” reveals how Senra bridges minimalism and sophistication with effortless precision. His approach is subtle yet bold, balancing organic warmth with digital clarity. The result is a sound that feels alive—constantly shifting and breathing with his vocals. For producers and listeners alike, “New Me” offers a glimpse into Sen Senra’s evolving creative process, where every sonic detail becomes a reflection of personal transformation.

Let’s jump into my remake of this song and see how to get that Sen Senra vibe. Check out my full cover below, then keep reading to learn exactly how I recreated his sound, step by step.

SEN SENRA – SYNTH PRODUCTION

This track is quite minimal in terms of instrumentation, yet it still sounds incredibly tight and cohesive. It all starts with a soft electric piano tone that I absolutely love — it plays throughout the entire song, giving it that warm, dreamy texture.

To recreate it, I used the Arturia MiniFreak with a touch of built-in chorus and reverb. Take a listen below.

Layered on top is a subtle lead synth that only appears a couple of times in the track. I’ve recreated it using the following MiniFreak patch — check out how it blends perfectly with the piano when you play them together. Hear how they complement each other?

Later on, there’s a Rhodes-style electric piano solo, which I recreated using the Arturia Stage-73 — rich, expressive, and full of vintage character.

You can also hear some string textures sneaking in during the second half of the song. Try listening to them soloed and then in context — can you feel how they lift the atmosphere?

SEN SENRA – VOCAL PRODUCTION

The vocals are front and center in this song — intimate, raw, and emotional.
To capture Sen Senra’s main vocal tone, I used a touch of Auto-Tune with Antares, followed by Slate Digital EQ and compression. Then, I added Waves CLA Vocals with the “Moody” preset and sent it to Ableton’s Ping Pong Delay for extra depth and movement.

There’s also a female vocal featured in the track, beautifully reinterpreted by the amazing Devon Garcia. I used a very similar effects chain, but without Auto-Tune and with a touch more reverb to give it that airy feel.

And at the end of the song, there’s a cool vocoder detail, which I recreated using iZotope VocalSynth 2. Check it out!

SEN SENRA – BASS TONE

The bass in this track uses Waves Maserati B72 for some extra body, paired with Ableton’s Glue Compressor and an EQ to roll off both lows and highs — keeping it smooth, round, and simple. Sometimes, less really is more.
